- LaTisha PWhen it comes to soul food, it’s so hard to find a spot where you really enjoy your entire meal. This place hit all the right spots. Oxtails were great, wings seasoned and fried perfectly, yams were sooo good ( I’m super picky with my yams too.) and the whiting was perfect. No complaints about anything. Portions we’re worth the price. Definitely will be a regular here. I can’t wait to try other items on their menu.
JadeQuick, friendly service. Beautiful decor. Best of all the food is die for. I've had a few different menu items and there isn't a dish I don't like. My go to is the honey BBQ wings dinner. It's so so good, I returned a week later to get it again! I highly recommend this restaurant to away who loves delicious soulfood. You can really taste the love and passion.
- TANESHA BMy cousins and I celebrated our Birthday Dinner at Madre and Sons (she insist it was her 4th dinner from them) and everything was delicious. That blueberry cornbread and blueberry lemonade to top it off!!!! Thank you for bringing real Southern Food back to Newark along with a nice atmosphere. We’ll be back real soon.
